The Friday 56

The Friday 56 is a weekly meme hosted by Freda @Freda’s Voice, with the rules as followed:

  • Grab a book, any book.

  • Find any sentence (or a few, just don’t spoil it) that grab you.
  • Post it.

Never Grow Up by Jackie Chan.
“To get them to work for peanuts, I bragged about how amazing the film was going to be and talked up our glorious future. I couldn’t believe my luck. Finally, I would get to experience how it felt to be the guy in charge, the one calling the shots.”

Honestly, this book has been so great to read as a fan of Jackie Chan. I didn’t know much about his backstory before he became famous so it’s been a very enlightening read, not to mention funny.
