DAY 10:

Announcements by Daniel Orozco

The Review

All in all, Announcements by Daniel Orozco was a pleasant and entertaining read.

The short story is divided into several wedding announcements of various couples, each of which is unique from the next. By writing the story in this manner, Orozco was able to dip his toes into a variety of different tropes, showing how, as true to life, opposites attract.

I think the only announcement I didn’t much care for was the one that followed Peter Arquette and Annie Valera as it seems that the only reason the latter married the former was to make him stop asking her. I mean his advances even saw her being fired from her job, not a good way to start a marriage if you ask me.

Due to the nature of the story, there really isn’t a whole lot to say in regards to character, setit

This one was a cute short read. I admit I missed the point of ‘opposites attract’, but it make more sense now that I think about it. I agree that I didn’t like the almost ‘forced’ marriage one. I’m assuming it won’t last long for them.
I don’t know, I was kinda bored by this one, maybe because I missed the point. I was just expecting something weird, or sad, or strange to happen, but never did.
    2.5 stars.
