Tag: Run Away With the Circus Book Tag

For today’s post I figured it would be neat to take a little inspiration from one of my favourite BookTubers, A Dash of Ash.

She recently posted a video on her channel called the ‘Run Away with the Circus Book Tag‘ in which she responded to OwlCrate’s tag.

For those who aren’t aware, OwlCrate is a monthly YA subscription box, where you are sent one book and items relating to the theme for that month.

While I have had the box in the past, I am currently not signed up for the subscription.

February’s theme was ‘Run Away with the Circus,’ and while I wasn’t tagged the questions seemed like a lot of fun to answer.

Ring Master: Best Main Character

Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee – The ring master of his family, the ring master of court, I’d say this is probably the best choice.

Trapeze Artists: Favourite Friendship

The trio from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling – all I want in life is to be a part of a trio as amazing as Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Any takers?

Juggling: Best Love Triangle

Yael Reider, Adele Wolf, and Luka Löwe from the Wolf by Wolf duology by Ryan Graudin – I usually hate the love triangle trope, but this one is so unconventional that it sticks out as one of my favourites.

The Big Top: Fantastic World Building

Narnia from the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis – say what you will about Narnia’s religious undertones, but you have to admit how magical it would be to find another world hiding at the back of your wardrobe.

Magician: Favourite Magic System

The Antari magic system in the Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab – being able to travel between parallel London’s would be pretty neat. Especially if I could travel to the time of Henry VIII.

Tight Rope Walking: A Book That Kept You on the Edge of Your Seat

The Fifth Petal by Brunonia Barry – I stayed up way to late into the night to find out who the killer was, and boy was I not disappointed.

Contortionist: Best Plot Twist

The three end chapters to Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake – the last three chapters of this book BLEW.MY.MIND. Please tell me its Sept. 19 already?!

Human Cannonball: A Book with an Explosive Ending

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo – this one literally ended on a bang, poor Nina Zenik and Matthias Helvar.

And those are my choices for what I would want in a bookish circus.
